ABOUT ABOUT

Camp Sojo Halloween party at the Woodlands! We know it's hard this year for kids to not be able to trick-or-treat as normal. So, we decided for our fall Sojo fundraiser to host social-distanced games, trick-or-treating, and pumpkin painting for camp siblings and other Philly children ages 5-12. Costumes encouraged!

Here's how it will work: With reservations in advance, ten kids at a time with one chaperone each will enter the fenced-off space on West side of Woodlands where we host activities, in half hour increments, and spend one hour in the space. (The first two time slots will be reserved for younger children ages 5-8. Rest of time slots are open for children ages 8-12.) There will be a backdrop for taking pictures while you are waiting to enter the space. There will be games, then scavenger hunt trick-or-treating, then painting pumpkins. Chaperones should stay with very young participants. Otherwise, chaperones are welcome to hang out on the side and observe as they are comfortable--we do ask you to stay in the area. All activities will be led by Sojo Staff.

COVID SAFETY: We will check temperatures upon entering and ask people to stay social distanced/ wear masks until they are seated in marked spots that are safely distanced, at which time they can pull down their masks during seated activities if they choose. During any transitions and moving around, masks must be worn.

Tickets are $10-25 sliding scale. All funds raised will help cover the costs of running the event and providing free year-round leadership activities for Philly girls. That said, we don't want anyone to not be able to attend because of funds--please write to Camp Sojourner Director Alisha Berry with any questions or issues: [email protected]. (Also, if you need help trying to register a group of kids in same time period and there aren't enough tickets open, or you have children in multiple age ranges and want to schedule at same time, please be in touch and we can try and work it out with you!)

We are grateful to the Woodlands for their generosity in letting us share their space in order to benefit Philly youth.

Hope to see you sooooooooon! (Read that in a spooky voice...)
